Walk & Talk Therapy
In keeping with a holistic approach to treatment for anxiety and/or depression, I offer ‘Walk & Talk’ therapy, which combines traditional talk therapy with walking outside in nature.
Emotional awareness and creativity can be intensified during movement, and the experience of being outdoors in and of itself can reduce anxiety, reduce depression, and elicit a positive mood. So, combining your time in nature with a compassionate and creative therapy session may be the most impactful, holistic approach to address your concerns.
This may not be suitable for all clients based on their current issues and comfort level with taking therapy outdoors. Currently, ‘Walk and Talk’ sessions are offered on most Fridays at White Rock Lake in Dallas, TX after an initial assessment at my physical office in Richardson, TX.
I myself have found the healing properties of being in nature to be beneficial, so I am thoroughly excited to offer ‘Walk and Talk’ therapy to help clients further.
